Server Side Java Developer

We’re looking for a dynamic individual to work in our PressRun team enhancing the SaaS web-based interface that allows publishers to upload, manage and publish digital issues. The successful candidate will be working in a small team focused on this area of the product.

As a member of the Mobile IQ Applications team:

  • Function as Lead Developer responsible for programming the web interface
  • Cooperate with designers to implement the required user experience
  • Follow an Agile methodology
  • Work with the Mobile IQ sales team to produce mock-ups and prototypes of customer applications

Required Skills:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Solid experience of Java
  • Experience of Spring and the Spring MVC framework
  • Experience with a Tomcat / MySql technology stack
  • Experience with JQuery / JavaScript / HTML / CSS
  • An excellent communicator able to apply a wide range of interpersonal skills
  • Well organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workload

Desirable Skills:

  • Maven build system
  • Hibernate
  • Additional mobile application development knowledge (Android)
  • Git SCM useful

iPhone Application Developer

We’re looking for a dynamic individual to work in our applications team (iPhone / Android / HTML 5) developing compelling iPhone applications. The successful candidate would initially be working on some high profile iPad applications for major UK companies.

As a member of the Mobile IQ Applications team:

  • Function as Lead Developer responsible for programming native Cocoa iPhone Applications
  • Provide proven knowledge in iPhone application functionality & limitations
  • Cooperate with designers and apply all development against Apple’s Human Interface guidelines
  • Work with the Mobile IQ sales team to produce mock-ups and prototypes of customer applications

Required Skills:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Apple product development experience (1+ years)
  • Extensive experience programming in Cocoa/Objective C (1+ years)
  • Firm understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines
  • Experience working with the latest iPhone SDK 4.*
  • Understanding & ability to leverage iOS features (push notifications, GPS/Compass, in-app sales, etc.)
  • Proven iPhone application deployments live in the Apple UK App Store
  • An excellent communicator able to apply a wide range of interpersonal skills
  • Well organised and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workload

Desirable Skills:

  • Open GL expertise highly desirable
  • Additional mobile application development knowledge (HTML5, Android, WebOS)

XSL/XML Developer

We’re looking for a dynamic individual to work in our tablet publishing team developing compelling mobile applications with our PressRun publishing platform. The successful candidate would initially be working on some high profile applications for major UK companies.

As a member of the Mobile IQ Applications team:

  • Function as Developer responsible for developing XSL adaptors from various client XML formats into our native HTML/CSS format
  • Cooperate with designers to generate HTML/CSS implementing designs

Required Skills:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Solid experience of XSL (1+ years) including:
    • XPath 2.0
    • Saxon
  • An excellent communicator able to apply a wide range of interpersonal skills
  • Well organised and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workload

Desirable Skills:

  • Web development experience including HTML + CSS + JavaScript
  • Maven build system
  • Git SCM useful
